Roche Diagnostics, the pioneer in Coagulation Monitoring systems, was introducing its latest generation of Coagulation Monitoring system in 2006, the CoaguChek XS system, which is CE marked and FDA approved since February 2007.

The first model, the Roche CoaguChek system, has been FDA approved since 1993. Its successor, the CoaguChek S system was launched in 2000, which is CE marked and FDA approved but not for Patient Self-Testing, and produces results equal in accuracy to laboratory tests.
