| Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) was at one time perceived as an imagined illness dubbed the "yuppie flu." Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a complex, serious and debilitating disease that goes far beyond tired. Patients with CFS may become exhausted with only light physical exertion. Symptoms include an abrupt onset of flu-like complaints, with overwhelming fatigue lasting for at least six months, fever, sore throat, tender lymph nodes, muscle and joint pain, severe headaches, sleep disturbance, and impaired memory and/or mental concentration and reasoning lapses. |
