Buerger’s Disease, Thromboangiitis obliterans, very rare disorder causes obstruction of the blood vessels of the hands and feet. It is caused by bands of inflammation and changes in the lining of the small arteries and veins which leads to a thickening of the blood vessel walls caused by infiltration of white cells.. The association cigarette smoking, cannot be overemphasized. Patient may complain of pain in the instep which is worse when walking or exercising. Characterized by an inflammatory response in the arteries.
